David Norman Solicitors is a general practice firm whose members deal with all types of cases including the most serious, complex and demanding matters. We are experienced in handling cases that are sensitive and high profile. Members defend in the Crown Courts, Northern Circuit. In addition to the field of Criminal Law, members of the David Norman Solicitors have significant experience in other practice areas, including Road Traffic work, Personal Injury work, Civil Litigation and Immigration work.
We believe that pupils should be involved in every aspect of their pupil supervisor’s work. We give our pupils a rounded overview of a Barrister’s role and equip them for the legal and practical challenges they will face in practice.
During the first six non-practicing months pupils attend Court with their Pupil Supervisor on a daily basis and complete research and written work as directed. Effort is taken to ensure that the pupil has contact with and the opportunity to work for practitioners of all levels of seniority within the firm.
During the second six months pupils conduct cases in Court under the supervisor of their pupil supervisor and if the pupil supervisor feels that the pupil is ready then the pupil will conduct cases alone in Court also.
David Norman Solicitors invites applications for one 12 month Pupillage starting in October 2016, with a Pupillage award of up to £12,000 per pupil. In addition, in their second six months, pupils can expect to earn some additional income from their own work.
